Destination Life Rambles My Singapore

Is Singapore the Unhappiest Country in the World?

A wise traveler never despises his own country. ~William Hazlitt

And I’ll be the first to agree, with both hands waving straight in the air. I love my home country, Singapore. This evening, I came across a StarHub commercial relating to Singaporeans and thought it is pretty awesome.

In December 2012, a global survey ranked Singapore the unhappiest country in the world. StarHub, one of Singapore’s fully-integrated info-communications company decided to uncover what real Singaporeans thought of the survey.

All that “they” said about us are true and NOT. As a true blue Singaporean, all I can say is: we might complain alot but not for the sake of complaining. It is not that we aren’t positive, we are just realistic. We might not smile that often but we guffaw with laughters among friends. Soul-less nation? We just take time to warm up… and the list goes on. 🙂

I hope you enjoy this video. Have you visited Singapore? Do you think we are an unhappy nation? Do visit us to see the REAL Singapore. 🙂
