My (somewhat) obsession with New Zealand begins almost a decade ago. Bright-eyed and fresh out of polytechnic, I harboured a strong desire to study at the reputed Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. I would not bore you with the details but at the end of the day, I did not proceed despite the acceptance of application from my choice university.
Almost a decade has passed. Last year, the BFF migrated to New Zealand and reawaken this forgotten dream. With that in mind, I was motivated to apply for the “working holiday visa” before I pass the age limit. Surprisingly, my application was approved within a few days and well, I’ll be on my way to the land of long white cloud soon!
According to Gretchen Rubin of “The Happiness Project”, there are four stages to happiness. To eke out the most happiness from an experience, we must anticipate it, savour it as it unfolds, express happiness and recall a happy memory.
And right now, I am anticipating Winter Highlife in New Zealand.
The Countdown begins now!
